Lord, I am afraid

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Zephaniah‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I am afraid of what the future holds. How life will unfold months to come, heck!, I have not the slightest clue what will happen the next minute.

Things are not going as I have planned. I have hit a rough patch and stones of diverse adversity are hurled at me from different directions. I am unsure whether it is a chapter in my story I have to relive but I am going to trust you regardless to write a glorious ending.

Lord, I am afraid, I crave stability, I long for peace and seek clarity. Where do I go from here? What do I do next? I know you see me and can understand my plight.

I will trust you in the daytime, I will trust you in the evening, I will trust you in a storm and I will trust you at all times. I am never alone

My faith fails me sometimes, the times I doubt the closeness of your loving ears to the groaning of my heart. But in one thing have I placed my confidence in, the unfailing faithfulness of your love.

I have run on my own desires longer than I can remember, now, I am running on empty. My heart is exhausted from trying.

This is where I pause, to lay it at your feet and place my fragile being in your strong arms to care for me. No one can do it better than you do. I am assured you fight my battles and bring all hidden things to light.

I am taking the passenger seat to let you steer me to purpose and light. No more will I struggle for control, to figure out the patterns and know the process. I am leaving you at the wheel. You are my best option. I am relying on your goodness. I am counting on Your word to come forth and rescue me from the throes of helplessness.

I am learning not to worry about the things I cannot change. To pray and trust. I have Confidence in Purpose.

Life must go Your way and I have embraced this for the way of God is the path of justice and truth. I will wait on you to redesign my situation. When fear comes knocking and pain becomes my companion, I will cling to you ever so tightly for You, God, are my Rock of Salvation, My shield of comfort.

Almighty God, you are my banner of victory always. I may not not know what the future holds but I know You, the One who holds the future. I am certain the time has come for your promises to come to pass in my life. I will go forward in spite of the odds

I will trust you wherever the road may lead.

As you go to God in prayer, rend your hearts to Him. Let Him hear you say the words ‘Lord, I need you’.

You fear to end up a failure? Let Him know

You fear you will never get married? Tell Him.

You fear about your inadequacies? He wants to hear it.

Are you broken from the years of emotional torture and torment? He is the greatest healer. Now is the time to lean further into Him.

Remember dear friends, before you go to God in prayer, you must remove every garment of rebellion and wear on a heart of surrender for a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. This is the time you realise you are nothing without God but in Him, you are everything worth being.

It takes true humility to fellowship with the HolySpirit. At the point where you take off the masks and come to Him bare and vulnerable with these words, ‘Here I am Lord’. Do as you please.

Stay Blessed

You are Loved. 💕💕💕

Amen to your truthful words! You are correct about our need to allow God to be the driver as we go down the road. Letting him take control through our faithfulness, allows us to a worthy passenger on life’s journey.

Well said. Fear is real and must be faced. And when we’re afraid it’s hard to be open and bare before God. To be humble. But the freedom in that! And when we listen to ourselves speak our fears out loud, it often reveals they aren’t as big as they seemed when they dominated our minds.

I love the way you embedded links to previous posts in the words of today’s message. And I appreciate today’s inspiration. Yes, I lay it all at His feet and put my life in His hands. There is nowhere else I’d rather be!

    Dear Musings & Roses,

I want to interpret what you say here into what it means to me. Between Trust and Faith, as I know them and have come to understand them, Trust is A LOT harder because, to me…it only comes first through faith…as I understand it.

You say your faith Fails you! But to me, I see TREMENDOUS FAITH…EXALTED FAITH!!! For you Trust God! I am so proud of you…one human before another; rent cloth and sitting in ashes as Job did. For a short spell of time and as I read what you wrote, we sat together, and what I see of you is a faith greater than most will dare to utter. And you did. And that, also, says you have courage. And…faith also takes courage! The greater the faith then the greater the courage, for you Trust God. That is the greatest faith of all!

Thank you for sharing. I loved this. Peace be with and upon you…In God!

God is indescribable…no words can put Him into a nutshell but to know that He’s above all things, people and situations!

That’s what we cannot comprehend plenty things without asking for His divine intervention to provide revelations.

God is all knowing…we are His creation and we need to submit and be re-assured that He’s unshakably threatened by anything!

Lovely, honest, genuine and thought provoking piece 🙂

It is clear that only when we know, for as much as God allows us to deal with, that we are nothing without Him that our faith is Faith in Him and not anything else.

Great post. We are not alone.
