You are a star. Shine!

“But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!” they answered.”

Matthew‬ ‭14:17‬ ‭

I recall when the idea of starting a blog came to me in 2016, I was not too keen on it. I didn’t feel anyone would want to read what I write or perhaps my knowledge was limited.

I, just like Moses who had tried to use his stammering as an excuse to wriggle out of the mission God gave him; also attempted to talk myself out of it and came up with different intangible reasons on why I shouldn’t blog that even when I finally kicked it off in the last quarter of 2017, I still didn’t take it seriously up until this year.

What changed?

I had a moment of realization that not using my gift to bless others is preventing God from being glorified through me which makes me a rebellious Christian and an unfruitful branch.

I knew I didn’t want to be the one with a talent who felt it was too insignificant to be useful and buried it instead. We all know how the story turned out.

As the scripture tells us, every tree that does not bear fruit will be cut off.

Howbeit we tell the kings of kings that what we have is not enough to do His work?

But I am not qualified, I cannot do it.

But I have no money, the project would be an impossibility

But I am too young, no one will take me seriously…

And on and on we go until death comes calling and we leave this earth with all the coulda woulda and shoulda been.

From the account of John here,

“There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”

John‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

we read how Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother already decided what was available will not do any good to solve the problem at hand.

Andrew momentarily forgot he was in the presence of Jesus, the one who makes all things possible.

Do we realise that there are people, many we may not have met yet, relying on us to walk in our calling? People whose lives will be better because of our obedience. Just as the crowd depended on Jesus to feed them.

One fact we should know is whatever field you have been called to manifest, you have already been given the start up materials required to expand it into something bigger. You can do it!.

All we have to do is take the first step and every other thing will fall in place. As a matter of fact, nothing happens until you move.

Regardless of where God sends you to, even in a desert, He has sent provisions ahead of you.

“You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.”

Psalms‬ ‭73:24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The function of our gifts is the light that shines bright in the darkness of this world to bring the gospel of Christ to all through various channels.

In the course of the expression of our gift, there will be times we struggle to find a way, times we travail, but all we have to do is look up to Him for the blueprints and direction.

The consciousness of our inadequacies and insufficiency standing alone leads us further to lean on the strength of the All-sufficient God who is our rock of strength just as the scripture says, His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

The mere presence of Christ in our lives makes the walk of purpose worthwhile and desirable.

I would like to believe I am on a journey. It gets better every day because we get stronger in Him. There might still be days you want to pack it up and quit but remember who the focus is on, the One who we worship with our talent. Jesus Christ! Lift up your eyes to Him in such moments and draw comfort from an endless supply.

One thing I am sure is, God watches over us. He cares deeply more than we can imagine. No second goes unnoticed in His eyes. When He sends forth His word, He moves systems and things to bring it to accomplishment.

We are never less equipped for our diverse callings. We are limited only by our excuses and excuses hinders progress. We truly have to find the strength within us to take the first step in the right direction.

There were just 3 fishes and 5 loaves but it fed over 5000 and 12 baskets of remnants collected. Do you still think you are not qualified to carry out your dream?

You don’t have to go through the motions and be tossed like a tempest when everything you need is inside of you.

There is something of great worth and substance God has placed in your hands’ dear friends, Use it to His glory.

YOU ARE ENOUGH! More than you can imagine.

Stay Blessed

You are loved 💚💙💜

Nice use of Scripture to lay the foundation for the points you raised. Also, the message was spot on: God has gifted you, me, others to do “something.” It isn’t God’s will that we hold ourselves back out of fear. He did not give us timid hearts. The people you reach through your blog may well be the ones unreached by the great evangelists, pastors, and book writers who are great and famous. What an amazing privilege to serve the living God! Good job. (Interestingly enough, my first blog was around God’s commandment for us to Go! Move, act, speak.) Thank you for this message.

Wonderful reminder that I/we should never short-change what God has given us in order that we can walk out His will. I too went tentatively into the blogging world, asking myself who would want to read anything i write. God has shown me, again and again, that it’s not about the numbers. In fact, it might only be one person that has or will read something of mine that is a game-changer for them. When I keep that in the forefront of my heart and mind, I can joyfully submit my writing, trusting that the Almighty will use it as He sees best.
    Blessings to you,

I love this! I always remind myself every morning that if I want to go on the adventure God has for me I need to have the courage to take that first step and have the confidence that He will be with me every step of the way. Thank you for sharing.

God surely has His ways in guiding us into other people’s lives. He knows where we need to be and who needs our encouragement. Thank you for liking our blog so that I, Elfriede could get encouragement from your blog post.
My husband Mike is the author and I, Elfriede, am tasked with the administrative and marketing side of the adventure. To start a blog was a suggestion from our publisher but just like you mentioned I feel totally unequipped to blog. However, with God’s help and guidance, I trust, it will get there.
Thank you for posting. Blessings, Elfriede
