If all you have is Jesus, that is more than enough

Life will not play out as we want it to but the one who writes a better story would be with you in every trial. -John Piper

In this journey of life, we advance not for victory but from a place of victory. This is why Jesus died. He gave us power in His name, riding above the ruler of darkness and oppositions.

So in times of trials and seasons we don’t understand, where do we run to?

Jesus! The name above every other name.

As the wheel spins and we are unsure at what point it stops and if it would be favourable to us, on whose name do we call?

Jesus Christ!

Before we were made, He had ordained us unto a purpose. To bring glory and Honour to His name and further the progress of the kingdom.

While we are here, different experiences become part of our story and these experiences are what I would call ingredients. These ingredients all put together would churn out something glorious. So though we obtain good and bad, it is all part of the production process.

Peradventure you are given raw cocoa in its unprocessed form, you certainly won’t like it.

Also, Flour in its raw state is not healthy to be ingested.

Sugar consumed alone is out of the question.

But all these ingredients stirred together and baked gives a chocolate cake you most certainly would love.

The issue is, we taste life as an ingredient and quit too early when our taste buds reject the raw product. We spit it out before it becomes an edible cake.

I love how Apostle Paul states it in Romans- Everything works together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose.

It says everything! Not some things.

Do you love God?

Are you called according to His purpose?

Therefore, all you are going through are ingredients working together for your good.

The person that left is part of the ingredient.

The person who broke your heart is part of the ingredient

The child who died is part of the ingredient

The money you didn’t get then is part of the ingredient.

The job you were fired from is still a part of the ingredient.

The Master is stirring it, using everything that was meant to break you, harm you devalue you or bring you to your knees to work according to His perfect will

Your trials are not a waste of time. Joseph endured 13years of sorrow during which he developed the strength of character. His faith was tried but his purpose which was bigger than the pain sustained by his character enabled him to overcome it all and it turned out as a ladder to his final destination.

Look beyond circumstances and see your majestic end.

No matter how deep the hurt, the numerous night you have cried yourself to sleep, the physical strength you are losing, it will all work out for your good in the end. He is the sustainer of our daily work and perfector of our faith.

The chocolate cake is baking. Be patient. you will glory in the end.

“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.”

Psalms‬ ‭62:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Set the Lord before you at all times and Please give up your concerns to Him. Come boldly to the throne of grace and drop it at His feet. Revel in the power of His love. This road is paved with marks of His grace and mercy. He will bear you till the end. This is love, that He has made us in His image to work out his good purpose in us and through us so we get an expected end. Trust in His process, it is laden with good intentions.

“So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Son of Righteousness is more than we will ever need. Live everyday glorying in His power. Life does not have to be this hard because we have Jesus. He is the fourth man in the fire and would not let anything contrary to His purpose prevail in our lives.

I believe in Jesus not because I was born into a Christian family or someone told me to but because I have seen a figment of His power. I have felt His love in my darkest moment and I have watched Him turn impossible situations around. I have come to know Him and have fallen in love with Him because He first loved me in my brokenness. Never giving up on me. So I talk about Jesus, not as a ritual but as a result of the deep desire to get others to experience this great love and know we are never alone here.

Even in times we feel alone and burned out, Jesus is right there with us, waiting for us to say yes to Him so He can fill our hearts and take away the burden of sorrow. I have learned to draw a line between effort and surrender. I would go crazy trying to figure out life and how to solve all the numerous problems that rear its ugly head so why not surrender it all to Jesus?

Will He redeem you at the price of His blood to watch you do this alone? No!

Don’t lose faith. Stand because He is standing with you. You can lean on Him and watch the blurred lines make sense. In due season, His purpose will manifest.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Stay blessed.

You are loved 💙💚💜

I loved your “ingredient” metaphor! That really resonated with me and I am certain I will now look at some of those raw ingredients as important, necessary ingredients to the Lord’s bigger story for my life. Thank you! Blessings to you, Angel

“The issue is, we taste life as an ingredient and quit too early when our taste buds reject the raw product. We spit it out before it becomes an edible cake.” This part I resonated with the most. May God help us be patient and wait for the cake to be fully baked. Thanks for this and God Bless.
