Living by God’s grace

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭

This is what the grace of God is about, it gives us a favour we don’t deserve and enables us to accomplish the will of God. It strengthens us to do beyond what we think we are able to.

There are times I know I get upset and decide not to speak to the person for a while till my anger subsides, but I realise the Bible asks us not to bear grudges and settle issues before we pray so I just ask Jesus to help me do His will. By my strength, it is difficult as I may argue I am well justified in holding on to the grievances.

We need help to do the will of God. By our strength, we would fail. It is hard to forgive someone you know have done you wrong and your anger is justified.

It may be easy to decide to make decisions for lifestyle changes today then find it difficult following through the next day.

We can choose to be more loving, caring, kind but without the grace, it would be a herculean task. Our intentions may be right. but we need enablements following through our resolves and commitments.

Good news is, God has given us this enabling grace through Christ Jesus. The grace to do all things through Christ that has strengthened us. To walk his will and do what pleases him.

It is easy to say

”I am never going to get angry

I would not scream at people when I am upset

I won’t let wrong behaviours get to me.

I would overcome my addictions

I will do better at my workplace

I will bridle my tongue

Treat my spouse/children/parent better”

But, without His grace, all these awesome life-changing steps we desire to take will be an empty talk and we are likely to fail.

But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 5:20-21

Grace is for the future and Now. God’s grace covers it all. Our inadequacies, shortcomings, failures, weakness, sinful desires and negative self-image were all absorbed at the Cross. We need to accept this truth and walk in the reality of it. We all have the power of God flowing and operating through us in the person of the Holy Spirit and this means we have the grace of God in us to give us the ability to do the will of the Father.

The Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of grace, is ready to help us anytime we call. To teach us the way, melt away blocks of grievances, break walls of defiance and refill all voids with the love of Christ.

Whenever you find yourself in a state you cannot control, doing the opposite of the will of God, repent and hand it over to the Holy Spirit. He will help you overcome the hurdles. The more trust and acceptance we have of God’s grace (in whatever forms it manifests itself), the faster we learn, grow, progress, and transform into the person God has designed us to be.

Friends, we live every moment of the day dependent on the grace we have freely been given. We cannot live outside this covering. His grace is sufficient in all things. This is our truth. It is time to live it.

I conclude with this;

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”

2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Grace is such a unique medicine for bad mood and problematic temperament, all Time medicine.God word Always have an answer to every issue of life.

How far our eyes can see determine how much we can get,it Normal to be annoyed, it’s right to be angry but after saying it out,you most let it go, because this is the only part that appeals to God, that you let go, unfortunately many people are failing in this area…
In our kingdom it’s absolutely abnormal “Not to forgive” because who can we say teaches us unforgivingness,is it Jesus ,God or the scripture.
