Make the moments count

The fullness of life is only accessible in the present moment

Eckhart Tolle

Lately, I have been thinking of how fleeting life is. The days that go by and can never be recovered. The moments -to be ourselves, shine our lights, enjoy true happiness- we skip and can not go back to. I took an inventory of my life and how I am living it. Is it what I really want? Am I true to my self and growing fully into all God wants me to be? Am I living the abundant life God gave to me? What am I living for? Are there areas I feel dissatisfied or discontent?

The good news is, we are not puppets. We have free will. There are things we can change in areas we feel dissatisfaction.

Having weight issues? Do something about it.

Always have the tendency to slip into sad moods? Catch your thoughts

Having relationship problems? discover what works and leave out what doesn’t.

Issues with Self-expression? fall in love with yourself and bloom…

Are we carrying around guilt, shame and hurt? Give it to Jesus.

Life doesn’t have to be lacklustre and bland. Jesus wants us to live in the fullness of His splendour.

We have to purposefully decide to look forward to what lies before us and forgetting what we have left behind. It is not about looking forward to life without challenges, that is like asking the Sun to shine at night- but about existing in a state of gratitude.

There is so much to be grateful for. Look around you. See His beauty in the sunrise and glowing in the sunset, the stars speak of the works of His hands, the oceans and most of all, You and His doings in your life. We are living by His mercy. God promised to be our Father and He is not stepping back on that promise. Even in the wilderness of life, He guides us with His mighty hand and leads us to the bank of safety. Jesus sees us

It is easy to fall into the trap of bitterness and resentment, dwelling on all the things you proposed and planned that didn’t happen. Thinking about all the unfortunate circumstances life has thrown our way but every day provides us with clean slates to make different choices and an opportunity to tow a different path.

This process is the essence of this journey called life. We love, we get heartbroken, hurt, insecure, trust, love God. Relish every. Precious moment because you won’t get it back.

Let’s dwell in the grace of God upon us. His loving kindness endures forever. He has lined our path with benefits and has crowned us with the crown of gladness. Every persecution is us partaking of the sufferings of Christ. Persecution makes us stronger in faith and love.

“Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us.”

Ecclesiastes‬ ‭7:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What a Father we have in God. His faithfulness abounds and His mercies are new every morning, To enable us to grow, to be better, to move ahead and rise above our pain. We must accept the Creator’s curves and angles. He is our anchor. We don’t have to see the entire path, take one step in faith and see the next step.

After all, is said and done, God’s unfailing love for us would never be broken. The shadowy mountains and valleys of our anxieties, disappointments, fear will disappear.

I want my life to count for something; something greater than myself. I want it to count for something deeper than my thoughts. I desire to be all I have been called to be. Stretched and overflowing with the love of God. I am slowly evolving into my best version compared to the girl I knew One year ago.

In Christ we live, move and have our being. This speaks volumes of the importance of remaining in Christ. We have all we ever need in him. To have our being in Him means to align our thoughts, choices, and perspective under God’s thoughts, choices, and perspective. It means being in tune with Him and honouring Him in everything we do. God doesn’t want occasional communion. He seeks permanent residency in our hearts which would ultimately reflect in how we live our lives.

It is true we can not wish ourselves into a new situation overnight. I mean, you can not sleep with 5dollars in your account and wake up with 100million dollars smiling at you. We only have to take productive steps every day towards achieving our dream life. Do you have a dream? Why not do it now? The joy of the Lord will always be our strength.

Are you bound by the chains of what people will say? Years from now, it won’t matter anymore.

The seconds would tick, the days would go by. We would look back and wonder about how time went by so quickly. And all the fickle things would fade into the shadow. James 4:14.

All that would be left are the footsteps we left on gravel and testimony of our Salvation.

Be fearless and Love God boldly.

A life lived for God is truly the only way to a Satisfying and fulfilled life.

“Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.

But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy.”

Philippians‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Friends, what is it you are truly living for?

Blessings

You are loved💜💙💚
