And she will bring forth a Son and you will call His name JESUS, ‘for He will save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.
Jesus Christ, the reason for the season. This beautiful story begins with a prophecy, a manger, a cradle and a baby which leads all the way to the cross and Ressurection.
He is the reason we celebrate Christmas. Isn’t it awesome that there is a national holiday to celebrate the coming of the One who brought salvation to us? What a wonderful thing.
Jesus came to the earth out of the abundance of love God has for us, to identify with our weaknesses and fallen state and save us from our sins with an offer of abundant grace. What a loving God!!!
“So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.”
John 1:14 NLT
While you celebrate christmas, remember to portray the real intention behind it which is to spread the love of God to all and sundry. To let them see through your acts of generosity and kindness the overwhelming love of our Father. To keep Christ as the focus of your celebration. Let’s keep the Christ in Christmas.
For today, we celebrate love, salvation, redemption, restitution and grace. We celebrate the One who left His throne in heaven to come to earth and offer us the most precious gift ever.
Today we celebrate Christ Jesus, our Lord and personal saviour, advocate, mediator, the bridge of reconciliation.
Today and always, we celebrate our Lord and Master, Our friend and Saviour. We celebrate Jesus Christ.
I pray His love is continually expressed in us, through us and overflow to everyone we come in contact with. Amen.
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end.
He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!”
Isaiah 9:6-7 NLT
Merry Christmas Friends!
